Macedonia Heart & Soul is a sub-group of Macedonia Hamilton Development Corp. that was started to help bring to focus what the community of Macedonia wants and needs to continue to flourish. In our working with the community it was key that we save our history and to help build our future. A Murals committee was created to help the City of Macedonia create a vision that would give visitors a walk down memory lane. Through funding from local non profits, the City of Macedonia receiving an Iowa West Foundation Grant and local fundraising efforts the first of these murals will be started this summer on the west side of City Hall by Los Angeles artist Courtney Raney. Our vision for the second mural will be created during our Pack the Grandstand free will donation event. Local artist ZacK Jones will use the event setting to create and commemorate the importance of our historical grandstand. Please mark this date on your calendar!🗓️.
